Great Restaurant

Kona Grill is an exciting contemporary American Grill with an award-winning Sushi Bar offering an array of foods and a unique dining experience. General Manager Barry Fisher strives to make the ambiance “relaxed and fun” and guarantees that once you’ve tried the food, you’ll certainly “be back for more.”

A beautifully stocked 2,000-gallon saltwater aquarium dominates the dining room. Inside you’ll find an incredible Sushi Bar, where guests can marvel as the artistic sushi chefs create delicacies like the freshwater eel and cucumber roll topped with avocado and eel sauce, or the Crab Crunch, made with fresh crab and topped with tempura flakes. Among the outstanding appetizers are the best-selling Calamari, served with a spicy aioli dipping sauce, and Kona’s popular Potstickers, filled with pan-seared chicken and freshvegetables.

The signature dish is Macadamia Nut Chicken with shoyu cream sauce served with white cheddar mashed potatoes. The menu offers a wide range of other specialties, from Big Island Meat Loaf to Five-Spice Baby Back Ribs. Another impressive item is Kona’s special pizza. Try the Five-Spice Barbecue Chicken pizza, or the Shiitake Goat Cheese pizza made with asparagus, shiitake mushrooms and tomatoes.

For dessert, Kona Grill offers a special dish, The Ultimate Fudge Brownie. This feast includes a decadent fudge brownie served with vanilla bean ice cream, luscious chocolate sauce, a delectable caramel sauce and topped off with vanilla ice cream. Other desserts include Key Lime Pie and the Old Fashioned Root Beer Float.

Kona Grill offers a Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3-7 p.m., and an exciting “Reverse Happy Hour” Monday through Saturday from 9-11 p.m. Food is served on Friday and Saturday nights until midnight. Happy Hour includes half-price appetizers, pizzas, select sushi rolls and select drinks.

Houston is a vibrant international city that heartily enjoys its tradition of being a place of firsts. General Sam Houston, the city’s heroic namesake, was the first president of the Republic of Texas. Houston, the city, was the first word spoken from the surface of the moon and the first to build an air-conditioned sports stadium.
